In Penticton, we have over 100 team members across all disciplines caring for and providing services to over 140 residents in long-term care and assisted living. Every team member plays an important role in caring for our residents, by providing a friendly and professional environment.

The Opportunity

We have an opening for a part time Occupational Therapist (15 hours weekly). Hours of work to be discussed on hire.

Attributes and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university plus one year of post-graduate experience in occupational therapy in geriatrics.
  • Registered with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and the College of Occupational Therapists in BC.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Must maintain current knowledge of developments in occupational therapy through literature review, educational programs and involvement in professional groups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to function effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must be able to deal with residents and their relatives in a manner, which demonstrates tact, empathy and patience;
  • Must demonstrate concern and interest in providing quality care to the residents.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
