The Hamlets as a team has been providing residential care throughout British Columbia and Alberta since 1989. The Hamlets at Penticton has over 100 team members, across all disciplines, caring for and providing services to over 150 residents in long-term care and assisted living.

The Opportunity

Full-time, Permanent team member

The Hamlets at Penticton is looking for a unique individual who is self-motivated, creative, outgoing and passionate about excellence in care to be part of our Care Leadership Team!

Reporting to the Director of Care, and working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Care Team Lead assesses and plans the care of the residents, ensuring that residents enjoy the highest possible quality of life at all times.

We are looking for a team member who has:

  • Graduated from an approved school of nursing as an LPN or RN
  • Current registration with BCCNM and can submit documentation
  • Must have at least one year’s previous experience in geriatrics and/or long-term care
  • Knowledge and experience with RAI and electronic resident charting
  • WHMIS
  • Criminal record clearance
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Ability to empathize and facilitate problem-solving for the team
  • Ability to work independently and interdependently as a team member
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Moderate computer skills
