This is the Opportunity: Registered Nurse

We are looking for a registered nurse with a passion for and experience in long term care to join our leadership team as a Long Term Care Coordinator. The incumbent, under the guidance of our Director of Care will, in alignment with our culture:

  • Apply the organization’s mission, vision and values and resident and employee rights to all interactions
  • Provide leadership, support, guidance and mentorship to the care team
  • Organize care conferences
  • Order medical supplies
  • Provide education on, and ensure adherence to, policies and procedures, support the safety culture
  • Promote harmonious relationships and collaboration with the team, residents, families and other professional/support services.

Attributes and Qualifications

  • Skilled communicator who is understanding, patient, gentle and non-judgmental while providing exceptional services to our residents
  • A clinical leader with experience in long term care with an eye to continual quality improvement
  • Good health and the physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • CNA certification in Gerontology preferred
  • GPA, PIECES preferred
  • Demonstrated abilities in critical-thinking, problem-solving and decision-making
  • Ability to provide acceptable background checks including criminal record check-vulnerable sector.
